We know 2020 has been a rough year and, for some, the holidays present even greater challenges. In these difficult times, it becomes even more important to remind ourselves that happiness is not determined by how others feel about us, or even how we have felt in the past or may feel in the future. We have the power to choose happiness every day, anew. This, of course, does not mean we can be joyous every moment, but it does mean we can choose to pay attention to the good things in our lives and focus our energies on what makes us feel happy and fulfilled. Whatever this is for you – a brisk run in the morning, a stroll with a loved one, laughter with an old friend, cuddling with a furry companion – we urge everyone to choose happiness for holidays.
